Life is a melting pot of Yin and Yang.
A concept of dualism of, what seemingly 2 opposite or contrary forces may be interconnected or complementary of each other in the world we live in.
We often see the diagram of a circle with an opposing black and white colour in a curvy shape dotted with yet another smaller black and white dot within it. This seems to explain, I quote from Wiki ‘Yin and Yang can be thought of as complementary (rather than opposing) forces that interact to form a dynamic system in which the whole is greater than the assembled parts.’
Too much Yin will seem weak, cold or negative represented in black colour.
Too much Yang will seem overbearing, bright, positive represented in white colour.
Let’s take a minute to ponder on these life experiences.
With suffering we appreciate comfort
With sorrow we savour joy
With sadness we value happiness
With pain we treasure pleasure
With cruelty we value kindness
With hate we cherish love
With carelessness we prize Mindfulness
It usually takes the unpleasant to acknowledge the good.
Perhaps, we can train our mind to see the Good to steer away the unfavourable from surfacing instead.
Let’s try this:
Where there is laughter, cries are submerged
Where there is generosity, selfishness is overlapped
Where there is understanding, anger is deflamed
Where there is compassion, the tyrant within disappears
Where there is forgiveness, revenge is forgotten
Where there is kindness, viciousness is weakened
Where there is awareness, ignorance is shy-ed away
Where there is mindfulness, carelessness retires.
When we understand the mechanism of how these 2 energies balances each other through complementing each other to form a whole, we will be able to apply it accordingly in the way we walk through the hours, the days and the time of our living life.
When we understand how the yin and yang applies in the world we live in, we would appreciate our living life in the most present manner.
Not too much Yin, Not too much Yang.
Let’s continue discovering the Yin and Yang of our life.
