Light that Illuminates in the Darkness

When there's electricity shut down, we suddenly feel like our eyes are blinded.

That one second everything turned dark.

We begin sensing things, sensing people around us instantly with our hands (touch), ears (hearing).

The darkness felt by everyone is unique from one another.

Some feel their hearts shrink and become scared.

Some, put up their invisible armour and become brave.

But the most instantaneous act we do is to light a candle or turn on our torch to shine some light.

Once the candle is lit, take notice how we feel at that moment.

We will feel slightly assured. Slightly secured. Slightly more calm than when we were in total darkness.

Be in touch with our feeling.

Now, moving away from the lighted candle, in the midst of this darkness, try walking towards your main door, exit through it and stand at your porch, or verandah, or simply look out of your window.

Try looking around. Notice how the darkness of the night is not at all that dark afterall.

When you look up the sky, there's likely a moon shining down.

Where the moon is present, you can see the shape of the crown fairly clear.

Where the moon is absent, you will see some flickering lights from above, they are the stars. If you fancy, you can count the starts appearing.

If you are lucky, you may see a constellation.

It’s amazing, how beautiful lights illuminate from above in the midst of total darkness.

If we bring it close to our life,

Fear is like the sudden darkness when there is no electricity.

We are stagnated by the darkness that enveloped us.

Suddenly, we feel paralysed.

We feel our world has stopped.

And as this darkness creep further within us, it will begin to blur our mind.

But, just like how we walked out of the house to steal a glimpse of the sky above us, we can take a glimpse of us by giving us the space of conscious breathing.

Then begin by sensing what triggered this fear enveloping us and why it is causing a paralysis. The classic pen & paper can help us throughout this sensory period.

Slowly, lit the courage within us like we lit the candle or when we turn the torch on.

Call upon the courage and activate it through self believe. Our self believe will help dampen the noises ringing in our ears. When you are ready, take one baby step to walk out of the fear.

It’s tough! Yes, definitely acknowledge that it is not an easy light. But it is the light we are all searching for in times of fear, in times of our dark moments.

Just like the moon and stars illuminating in the dark sky, our courage illuminates the hope that have been beeping within us. With the energy of courage and vibration of hope, our mind will be induced to act that will support our walk out of our fear.

Our world will begin to shine again!

“The moon is the courage in us;

The stars are the hope in us;

Together, they shine within us;

Together, they illuminate the world within us.”
