Exciting year 2024 from Chinese Horoscope perspective

Happy New Year 2024, everyone! How have your new year started or has it started on a good ground? I hope everyone had a fabulous start to the new year with loads of exciting endeavours to look forward to or maybe some good stuff already rolling in for you.
But if you want to get another start, then celebrate with the Chinese for another round of new year cos Chinese New Year coming up on February 10th, 2024 & will last for 15 days. Chinese New Year is also known as the Lunar New Year or Spring festival, celebrating the arrival of spring & the beginning of the lunisolar calendar. It’s the time for family get-together especially for the reunion dinner, then more feasting and mandarin oranges. On this occasion, you will see many will wear bright colour clothes especially the colour red as it is said to bring prosperity & luck.
The transition within the Chinese zodiac
With the rich Chinese culture, it is always exciting to know which animal sign will take centre stage out of the 12 animals in the Chinese horoscope as it may somewhat influence the energy for the year. For some this is debatable but if you are curious, read on.
To begin, the animal signs in the Chinese horoscope begins with Rat, followed by the
Ox,
Tiger
Rabbit
Dragon
Snake
Horse
Goat
Monkey
Rooster
Dog
And lastly the Pig.

So, 2023 was the year of the Rabbit and in 2024 Dragon will take precedent to be the ruling animal sign. Now, what’s a little special with year 2024 is that a new 20-year feng shui cycle is ushered in lasting till year 2044.
The Dragon
From the Chinese culture perspective, Dragon is a supernatural/mythical being that are powerful, strong & intelligent.
People who are born in the year of the dragon has personality traits as mysterious, imaginative & noble.
Their strengths are known to be ambitious, energetic and born with superb leadership. This explains their strong drive in realizing their dreams. Another gift is somewhat bestowed to those born under this animal sign is the gift of innate luck – luck seems to be with them in most things they do.
With strengths, comes weaknesses, too. People with the animal sign Dragon, are somewhat arrogant, relentless and elusive. Since they have this innate luck which many of us wish we all have it, it sometimes lead them to not being diligent or hardworking. They may think that the luck can do all the work for them without putting in effort and this may cause failures.

Before we look at what is in store for us in 2024 as a whole, let me briefly share on the new 20-year feng shui cycle whose energy will be dominating till 2044.
Simply said, during this new feng shui period, we will see a shift in trends, world interests and energy combined. It’s a transformation era, so that means we will see changes and we will go through those changes. Like those of the Renaissance period, so-to say.
We will see digital entrepreneurship, online trends and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are on huge rise and accelerating at great speed. Social media is here to stay so maybe we can nourish our way with it through some mind shift work & mindfulness. More advanced technologies will be built-in and introduced in our day-to-day life, be it personal or business.
Year 2024 in a nutshell
So what can we look forward to in the year 2024 in one para?
Briefly, the overall appetite in 2024, we will see climate change continues to be the focus while AI’s presence, digital technology and robotic development will increase significantly. There could be healthcare breakthrough as well.
Having read numerous materials writing this blog, many writers include the deemed lucky, unlucky & the in-betweeners animal signs for 2024. With my humble knowledge on metaphysics, every animal signs has its own stage to present themselves and challenges ahead of them. I reckon, everyone is going to face some challenges ahead adjusting to the new energy. All animal signs are believed to have different auspicious and unauspicious stars that hang onto them every year.
But, if we have the lucky star and choose to stay idle - doing nothing, the lucky star can’t really play its role. So, it’s down to how much effort & how consistent we are pursuing all that we want to achieve. It’s our choice because the results we see often commensurate accordingly. Also to keep in mind that, nothing works perfectly fine at the first chance taken for some, we’ve got to keep the momentum to see what we envision.
Conclusion
I reckon, as a start, everyone is going to face some challenges ahead adjusting to the new energy. I mean look at the lay-offs news and the wars that are seeing.
With transformation that we are witnessing at this moment from the technology front, it is already showcasing the speed which humans are unable to follow and comprehend to some level. Some of us may be scrambling to keep up with what’s new and what’s relevant. The smartphones and car industry are one of the many examples we see – there’s just so much going on. In this new cycle, we will see greater speed.
But in anything we do, keep ourselves nourished, well taken care of. We still need the rest and the break, the pause and some stillness and calmness. Even if we want to sprint, we have to make sure we have the sufficient stamina to do so.
